Sometimes when I write, I need to get into a particular mood. Like when I wrote a dance scene for Dog Tags, I listened to Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers.
This morning, I was listening to different songs while I worked out, and I realized how much music reminds me of certain time periods or people.
Still the One by Shania Twain makes me think of my husband.
Dock of the Bay by Otis Reddig reminds me of my dad. If I can close my eyes, I can picture my dad snapping his fingers along to the music and smiling.
